Institute's Update - Faculty Development Program - 10 Faculty Members attended 52nd Design Engineering FDP (Basic Level-1) at GTU Chandkheda from 29th July 2019 to 1st August 2019

The 52nd 📏📐Design Engineering Faculty Development Program🗒✏ (Basic Level -1) 💡was held at Open School of Industrial Design, GTU Chandkheda Campus from 29th July 2019 to 1st August 2019. 👱Prof. Rajat Mishra-HoD- Civil Engineering Department, 👱Prof. Kamlesh Samadhiya-Section Head, Automobile Engineering, 👱Prof. Kanu Patel-HoD- Electronics and Comm. Engg., 👱Prof. Akshay Kansara-HoD-CS/IT Dept.,  👱  Prof. Tausif Shaikh- Mechnical Engg Dept., 👱   Prof. Kunalsinh Kathia- Mechanical Engg. Dept, 👩Prof. Kumkum Bhattacharya-Civil- Engg Dept.,  👱  Prof. Nirav Joshi-Electrical Engg Dept. , 👱   Prof. Jaimin Jani-CS/IT Dept and 👩Prof. Nimisha Sharma-CS/IT Dept participated in the Four Day FDP. 

The sessions were conducted by Prof Karmjitsinh Bihola, Co-ordinator GTU Open Design School and Prof. Bhavin Kothari, Strategic Design Management, National Institute of Design. The 👱👱👩participants learnt various design engineering tools like 🗒✏AEIUO Framework, 📜🕯Empathy mapping, 💡Mind mapping, 🔎Ideation and 📼📹Product Development. The aim of the workshop was to nurture empathy🕯, rapid idea generation💭🔎, right the way through to sketching🖌🖍 and creating interactive prototypes📇 in sessions for a systematic, human-centered approach💭 to solving complex problems within all aspects of life.  The participants had an insightful workshop wherein they learnt to visualize👓 any given problem from an altogether different perspective.
