Institute Updates - Industrial visit of Automobile Engineering Department students at the JCB Amin Equipments, Ahmedabad

The Mechanical & Automobile Engineering Department organized an industrial visit for the students of 8th and 6th Semester Automobile Engineering at the JCB Amin Equipments, Ahmedabad on 2nd March, 2021.

The objective of the industrial visit was to see and understand how Special Purpose Vehicles are made by JCB Company. One of the key objectives of this visit was to seek inputs from organization named JCB Amin Equipments LLP which will help Automobile students of 8th & 6th semester of our Institute to relate the content of their GTU syllabus of subject ‘Special Purpose Vehicles’ with the realm scenario of technologies related to Special Purpose Vehicles. Earth-moving equipments are ubiquitous across applications in the construction industry. They are used for a wide range of earthworks including laying foundations, grading soil, removing dirt and rocks, digging trenches, demolition works, etc. These complex machines are operated by professionals. Different types of earth-moving machines are capable of accomplishing different types of tasks and owing to technological advancements in the industry, today there are various types of earth-moving machinery available in the market capable of catering to almost any kind of construction activities.

JCB Amin Equipments LLP is a main dealer company in Gujarat which supplies various vehicles such as Loaders, Front Loader – Rear Back Hoe, Skid Steer Loader, Excavators, Road Rollers etc. from low capacity to high capacity vehicles depending on the customers’ requirements. Since the early nineties it is the only main dealer of JCB company vehicles and authorized service station and workshop. Currently in Gujarat, Jitendra and Yantra are two more dealers in existence. In JCB Amin Equipments approximately 35000/- units of various vehicles are sold annually. 

The students really learned and enjoyed the visit as so many doubts related to special purpose vehicles have been cleared after the visit. It was an enriching experience for them. Here is the glimpse of the visit:
